Sometimes I am hired just for a very short time and I have to capture a lot of images in just an hour and a half!

This couple only wanted their First Look, a few photos in the vineyards, ceremony and a group photo of the 30 guests attending the wedding. What a sweet First Look! Love it!

Thank you Denise Kramer Weddings.

Congratulations Abby and Jordan!

Trentadue Winery Geyserville

January 22nd, 2011 by deb | No Comments | Filed in Wedding Day

Trentadue Winery has long been one of my favorite venues to photograph weddings.   The surrounding hillsides full of color as well as the wrap around vineyards make this a stunning location for a wedding.  Melissa and Darrin chose Trentadue not only for it’s fabulous surroundings but it’s great indoor reception building Sala del Leone.

Trentadue Winery also has a great event staff to help you with your every wish. I personally love working with Alyssa. She is a super helpful and organized event Pro!

The amazing flowers were created by one of the best in the business: Anita Isaza of Wine Country Flowers.  The reception flowers are even more amazing…scroll down for more of Anita’s work!

People often ask me to describe my “style.”  I would say ”Documentary.” Capturing details as well as the moments in time as they happen.  Of course, I do set up shots through out the day as needed but it is the candid images I love the most!

I love this image of Darrin as he sees Melissa for the first time…

And she him…

This candid moment was captured  immediately following the ceremony.  I am not sure what they said to each other but I think it was something like “We did it!  We are really married!”

Great food was provided by Park Avenue Catering.

More stunning flowers by Anita of Wine Country Flowers…

Melissa and Darrin had a great dance party provided by AMS Entertainment.

Melissa and Darrin; I hope you have as much fun  being married as you did on your wedding day! All my best to you and thanks for choosing me as your photographer.  It was a honor spending the day with you guys!

Amy and Nick

Amy and Nick met while Amy worked for a local grocery store.  Nick (a plummer at the time) was dispatched to fix a sink in the Floral Department.  Funny…how people meet the love of their lives!  By the end of the day Nick made sure to have Amy’s number.  They began dating and fell in love.

One night Amy’s feet were cold so she was going to raid Nick’s sock drawer.  Nick had to run interferance as the sock drawer was the hiding place for Amy’s Engagment ring! (Yikes!) Nick had hoped for a more romantic proposal but none of that really mattered once Amy said “Yes!”

They were wed on a Saturday in July at the Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel in Santa Rosa.  Amy and Nick loved this location as the garden area was in full bloom.  Amy remembers being nervous as she walked up the isle arm and arm with her Father.  But Nick’s eyes never left hers and once she reached him he wiped a tear from her cheek.  (GOOD NICK! )

Amy looked like she had just stepped out of a fashion magazine!  In this series of images I asked Amy to walk towards me and pull her dress up a bit and have fun with it!  Show off those legs, girl!

Some of my favorite candid moments of the day…

Later on we walked back to the garden area around sunset for a couple of casual and romantic images of just the two of them together.

Congratulations Amy and Nick!

Cristy and James met in Chemistry class at College.  Both admit to being love struck immediately, all though it took months for either of them to have the courage to strike up a conversation.  At the end of the semester they finally had a real conversation…and that was all she wrote!  Some months later Cristy and James spent a romantic weekend in the Napa area.  Then it was off  to Fisherman’s Wharf for their famous clam chowder in a sourdough bowl and Ghirardelli chocolate sundaes for dessert.  After this must have SF  lunch James popped the question at the scenic overlook on San Francisco’s twin peaks!  Cristy says that after she got over her initial shock, she enthusiastically said “Yes!”

After checking out many facilities in the Sonoma/Napa area they settled on Viasna Winery which is located in Southern Sonoma County.  October in Sonoma…what a lovely time of year to be married!!! Check out their final book spreads below.

We used some of Viansa’s engraved stonework as part of this spread.  If you look closely you can see the stonework integrated within these images.  Pretty cool!

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome and thanks so much for visiting my new blog.  As I celebrate my 20th year in business I feel compelled to thank all of my terrific couples for the honor of photographing their wedding day!  I must admit I have lost track of exactly how many weddings I have done during these years but I know it is over 700!  I am a very lucky person in that I have been able to do what I love for a living.  With that said I would like to share some of my more recent images from the 2010 season.  And what a great season it was…

First up Amy and Nick:  The “We Will!” session took place on a gorgeous spring day at a winery in Healdsburg, California.  I wanted them to have fun, relax and just be themselves…and they did just that as the session progressed.  They were willing to try anything I suggested.  Nick and Amy wanted some traditional images but they also wanted to be different!

Nick and Amy…you guys rock!
